100 Percent Chance of Getting Struck by a Meteorite

My sister died today in a car accident.

I know, at least, that in six years it won’t hurt quite as much as it does tonight, although I will miss her every single day.

And how, Oh Best Beloved, do I know that?

Because six years ago my father was killed in a car accident.

Oh Judy, damn, just damn damn damn. There really is no rhyme or reason to life, is there. My deepest sympathies to you and your family & friends.

    Damn.

    Judy
I am so sorry hon. I’m afraid I can’t say much more than that. But please know I am thinking about you and your family. You are strong. You have been through a lot and you will survive. But it really sucks. And I am really sorry.

My sincerest condolences to you and your family. I wish there was something that a nearly complete stranger could do or say to make it better, but, alas I’m just as helpless as the next.

I hope you can look to the heavens, not for that meteorite with your name on it, but, instead to see the angels of the departed; knowing they are in a better place now.

My condolences on your loss. I’m rather at a loss for words, but having lost family members myself, I know something of what you feel.

Very sorry to hear about your loss. You’ll be especially high in my thoughts for a while.

My mom died suddenly 8 years ago. My dad asked me to do a eulogy at her funeral. At first I didn’t see how I could, but after thionking about it for a while I just told a whole bunch of our silly, family stories. Several people told me later that they were happy they could laugh at a funeral between the tears.

Remember the good times and the fun I’m guessing that’s what your sister might want.
